Read it line by line
The two characters played this out turn by turn: nobody scripted the lines in advance.
First impressions
Nineteen times on fire? Well, my queens bring the heat too, but usually with more aria.
Let's please never use the f-word in here. Not even for an opera singer.
Fair enough, we will keep it strictly acoustic and totally combustion-free.
The challenge
Acoustic sounds wonderful, as long as nobody jumps out of the cake.
No cake jumps, I promise, though a buzzing swarm might wander by to check out your clay dust.
As long as those bees don't bring any confetti, we'll get along famously.
The decision
No confetti, just sweet honey and zero pyrotechnics. I'd love to show you the hives sometime, as a friend.
I would honestly like that very much, friend to friend. No stingers attached.

The date
First impressions
Emrys adjusts sun-bleached overalls smelling faintly of honey, while Dex offers a very careful handshake with clay-covered knuckles.
The challenge
Midway through a duet, a former stunt coordinator kicks the booth door open to loudly demand an encore of an old action theme.
The decision
Dex calmly steers the intruder away without a single flinch, proving a steady nerve that completely charms Emrys.
The twist
The unexpected visitor turns out to be entirely harmless, just looking for the restroom.
The finale
Instead of singing, they share a quiet laugh over the absurd interruption and decide to leave together as good friends to grab herbal tea.
Ending: Just friends
Who leaves the date first? They leave together
The box score
How this was scored
Just friends: warm enough (chemistry 65), but trust 51 never got there. Endings read where the numbers finished, not how far they moved.
“You handled that stranger with fewer theatrics than my angriest queen bee.”
